The price is 35% of the tax refund (min. £40)

In TaxHelper we only charge for our service if we can find a tax refund for you. In other words, if you don't get a refund, our service is completely free.

It's our way of making sure that you don't pay for anything you get no value from - also known as 'no cure, no pay'.

Most clients will pay 35% of the refund, e.g. if you get £1,000 in refunds you pay £350. If the refund is small then clients will pay the minimum fee, e.g. if you get £100 in refunds you pay £40. All our prices include VAT.

We transfer the refund directly to your bank account

You don't pay anything when you submit the information on our platform. Instead, when HMRC has approved the claim they send us a cheque with the refund, whereafter we make a bank transfer to you with the refund less our fee. Hence, you don't have to pay out of pocket or deal with physical cheques yourself.

In rare cases, HMRC sends the cheque to you directly. In this case, we will send you an invoice for our fee by the time you receive the cheque. Thus, you still only pay once you have the money in hand.

What do you get for the cost of the service?

Our service helps you get the money you are entitled to from HMRC. It includes that we are:

Creating and sending the claim to HMRC via Royal Mail
Helping answer any question you have during the process
Chasing HMRC on the status of your refund, to get it approved as fast as possible
Dealing with any letters, phonecalls or emails from HMRC regarding the claim
Handling the cheque from HMRC and sending the money to your bank account - so you don't have to deal with physical cheques
Living up to existing regulations regarding e.g. Know Your Customer (KYC) and Anti-Money Laundering (AML) laws required by HMRC

The price takes the refunds you have already gotten into account

If you have already gotten tax refunds yourself, you of course don't pay for them.

Our price is calculated based on the additional value we can create. For example, if you've previously gotten £1,000 and we can find £500 more, you'll only pay for the extra £500 we've found.

We experience that 83% of our customers are entitled to more than they've already found - and if you have already gotten your full refunds, then our service is completely free.
