FAQ

What is Taxhelper?

TaxHelper is a platform that helps you get the tax refunds you are entitled to. You just answer a few simple questions and we'll take care of all the communication and reporting to HMRC - so you get your money back.

How does TaxHelper work?

TaxHelper acts as a personal tax assistant, asking you some simple questions to see what tax refunds you are entitled to. It typically takes 15 minutes to go through the questions and see what you can get back.

What does TaxHelper cost?

TaxHelper costs 35% of the tax refund (min. £40). That means we only charge for our service if we can find a tax refund for you. In other words, if you don't get a refund, our service is completely free.

Most clients will pay 35% of the refund, e.g. if you get £1,000 in refunds you pay £350. If the refund is small then clients will pay the minimum fee, e.g. if you get £100 in refunds you pay £40. All our prices include VAT.

Is TaxHelper a subscription?

No, TaxHelper is not a subscription.

Is TaxHelper safe to use?

Tax information is personal and sensitive. That's why we go to great lengths to process your data securely, so you always have full control over it: (1) data is only used to report tax deductions to the HMRC, (2) you can always delete your account and data, and (3) we don't require access to your personal tax account.

Can I be sure that the result is correct?

Yes. TaxHelper is built together with certified accountants and tax specialists. Therefore all calculations, questions and deductions are correct as long as you answer the questions truthfully.
